2016
will be remembered as a very challenging and unpredictable year for ALL of US! It is so indicative of the fully-connected world we now live in. Information literally barraging us from every country creating more sifting and sorting than ever to be done. In a world bombarded by information (some of it very bad, some of it inaccurate and some of it actually FALSE!) Just know that your best information will actually come from …YOU! You and those you love and trust. AutismHWY urges you to be the best source of your You-niverse in 2017. Resolve to always follow your gut, trust your instincts and find your purpose. Align with people that follow those purposeful aspirations and breathe them to life! Look inward then outward, care about yourself, care about others and transform your universe! If 2016 teaches us nothing else… it teaches us we live in a universe redefining itself. Let’s work together to define an amazing galaxy of embracement for Autistic people.

Our sixth year on the AutismHWY… talking and chalking Autism with friends saw many changes.
~In January friends were exploited by a website claiming to “champion” Autistic people. The Mighty is not so Mighty afterall. …#Cripthemighty
~We created our 5th coloring book filled with awesome Autistic Friends!
~Questioning authenticity became a matter of concern in the spring of this year. Exploitation sadly comes in many forms.
~Our 6th annual AutismHWY Chalk Festival event was RAINED OUT and re scheduled for the following weekend. Turning out superbly!
~Later that month we RE~CONNECTED with the amazing folks at ANCA Naturally Autistic!
WoW their Autism Documentary is excellent!
~On father’s day weekend we chalked at the worlds largest Chalk festival for our 4th year in a row! We CONNECTED Pasadena with Autistic people again!
~Our summertime chalking habit continued in Carpinteria for our 6th year! Always making us happy!
~In Ventura we were COOL CATS this year. Our 3rd charming time chalking the harbor!
~Our greatest pleasure in 2016 was by far our 2nd trip to the ANCA Naturally Autistic People Awards, Trade Show and World Autism Festival in beautiful Vancouver Canada. The talent, connection and friendship run deep launching dreams and careers. An amazing destination for Autistic people and those that love them! Love to OUR ANCA FAMILY 2016 and beyond!
~Autism Speaks seated 2 Autistic board members and removed the word CURE from their mission statement. Something remarkable in 2016. Hurray.
~We reached out to Melania Trump in support of her effort to urge change in communication. A kinder, clearer way to communicate in this world is needed! We agree Melania T.!
