Soon it will be our favorite time of year! Time to share our lives with the community through our artistic translations at the AutismHWY Chalk festival. Heiroglyphicly baring our souls. Etching our heARTs and brilliant minds into the pavement. Over the years we have seen some powerful messages and some amazing imagery! We are wholeheartedly sure that on Saturday April 14th love and empowerment will once again…JUST SHOW UP!
Every year our artists raise the bar by expanding their skills, dreams and ideas of inclusion. People chalking inside and outside of the boxes TOGETHER.
Life and love being defined for Autistic people BY Autistic people that share those cutting edges on which they live! Amplifying imagery and energy that SPEAK authentic volume is what our day under the Covina, California sun… is all about. Sharing concepts that define Autistic culture for the world to absorb. Filling in those cultural gaps like the colorful chalk that embeds our ART into the planet.
Have fun devising and choosing your important design or: be random and make it up as you go! ALL ART IS IMPORTANT and WORTHY! We have added a dream theme category this year because DREAMS DO COME TRUE. Our Annual event is our PROOF.
Autistic Culture Technicolor brings every possible color to the human spectrum. No longer just a world viewed as black and white or the initial red and green colorations…but, the recognition of ALL hues and shades. The full on, inclusive blend of diversity. Every color, sensation and perception. In many ways this is what we are experiencing across the globe in 2018 -an EPIC integrative expansion!
