Well…I have been at it again!! I love this opportunity to put my talents to good work! This past weekend I traveled to Carpinteria California to create some ART!! This wonderful beach community just south of Santa Barbara has become a new favorite spot for AutismHWY, www.makingfriendswithautism.com/ and I this year!!
The Curious Cup Bookstore has been proudly displaying our “Making Friends with Autism” Coloring Book this summer…thankyou for that Kiona Gross and company! We are so honored to be affiliated with your fantastic shop and town!! Beautiful scenery, weather and people. What could be better?
A chalk art event!! That’s what! Girls Inc. of Carpinteria held just that…and I was there…NATURALLY! Doing my thing under the summer sun!! How FUN!! Talking to passer-bys about my ART and the meaning behind it…..Coloring Perceptions through Positive Imagery. Giving folks the TOOLS to ease fears and erase stigmas that have been assigned to AUTISM! Shifting and changing. EVOLVING!!
As we shape information and attitudes for those UNAWARE. I am having …the time of my life!!
Creating the Curious Cup bookstore logo in chalk was the least I could do for the amazing support the Autistic Community recieves from Kiona and her delightful bookstore!! Earlier this year Debra Hosseini’s amazing book “The Art of Autism” and its artists were recieved and showcased! Beautiful all the way around! The Author herself, the works of ART and the amazing stories each Artist has to SHARE!! Awesome job Debbie your amazing energy and fantastically talented Autistic son Kevin are Carpinteria superstars in our book!
Creating public perceptions can be uplifting…engaging people with stories of Autism understanding and how humanity can learn so much from the Autistic Mind has become my NEW CAREER…and I wouldn’t have it any other way!! Thankyou to ALL of my Awareness Angels……! I believe we are a most formidable ARMY!! Battle on!!
