It seems like it was just April last week! Enjoying an awesome Awareness month here in Southern California at our 2nd Annual AutismHWY.com Chalk-Art Festival. We had a fantastic turn-out of artists and admirers. We were also graced by Mayor Kevin Stapleton of Covina as ANCA Naturally Autistic People Award recipient and Ambassador Joel Anderson presented Exceptional Minds Studios.org their 2011 ANCA Naturally Autistic People Award that they were unable to collect in person last fall!! Now, October is here and the month will be full of wonderful energy to be sure with the 3rd Annual ANCA Naturally Autistic People Awards fast approaching! I am an American but, as of last year’s amazing Awards Event weekend I have accepted Canada as my second home. So, in my ‘2nd home’ October is denoted as Autism Awareness month. Fantastic, I will take 2 then~ 1 in April and 1 in October! We celebrate Autism Awareness and ACCEPTANCE every month here on the AutismHWY but we are thrilled to honor October with our Canadian friends and so many others in the ‘Global Autistic Community!!’ The more the merrier.

This Awareness month will be exceptional because ANCA Naturally Autistic’s 3rd Annual Awards weekend festival will be held in Mapleridge, BC Canada October 19th-21st! Growing by leaps and bounds the momentum of this event is contagious!! Each year from it’s inception has been more amazing then the next. With every event that passes…more and more Autistic people realize that they can and will be recognized for their talents and labors. It’s an undeniable positive force!
