This Saturday before Sweetheart’s Day. The Sunshine Coast will be book-ended with Awareness. In Gibsons B.C. at the north and Glendora Ca. to the south. Leonora Gregory Collura & Jan Beaver Coad in Canada. Kelly and Wyatt Green in California.With a possible visit from Rachel Walker the co~ illustrator of OUR fun awareness coloring pages. We are taking it to the communities…Going Local! Everyone can JOIN IN, it is a great way to show you care. Helping others to Be AWARE!!
ANCA Naturally Autistic held an artists challenge to design a label for Ami Quetzal Coffee. (One of the sponsors from last fall’s award show.) Three artists on the spectrum rose to the occassion. Jan Beaver Coad, Sarah Daisey Van Diesel and Scott Jackson. Three beautiful labels…Don’t you agree? Wow….!
Leonora Gregory Collura and Jan Beaver Coad will be at the Sunny Crest Mall in Gibsons, B.C. Canada all afternoon Saturday meeting and greeting folks. Jan will be signing her awesome book “Why don’t they come with instructions?” All about her life on the spectrum and raising youngsters on the spectrum! 
The day will be fun filled with goodies and Autism Awareness. Come on out to have fun and vote for your favorite original label! Bring the kids to color some awareness images and have a treat! Please take a look at the amazing talent in the autistic community!
At the other end of the Pacific Coast in Glendora California Wyatt and I will be meeting and greeting the folks in the village. The wonderful owners of the Village Eatery have agreed to pass out our Awareness Color Sheets to their patrons all day! in gratitude, Wyatt and I will have breakfast and lunch there Saturday and Sunday!! Let’s SUPPORT those that support Autism Awareness! Come by and say Hi ! Have a delicious bite to eat… and get some FUN awareness coloring sheets and AutismHWY.com info and fans ! I will also have copies of the Naturally Autistic Magazine…the 1st magazine ever produced by Autistic people !! Fascinating reading , join me and see for yourself!!

Well, I just ended my first radio Interview with “ANCA”s Autistic People, People First” ~~first ever Blogradio show!! Double WOW! I was interviewed by Scott Jackson and Tim P. Two fine gentleman both happening to be spectrumites! I loved every minute of it and quite possibly talked their ears off!! haha
I am never at a loss when it comes to talking about the many facets in spectrum life. Telling them my story behind the buiding of AutismHWY.com was very fun. Expressing my hopes and dreams for our community warmed my heart! But, not as much as a call in from snowy Canada! The Brennan family listening in live! Colin got on air and told everyone “they’ve got to get on the HWY. AutismHWY.com!! So cool! Talk about heartwarming! Thanks guys I love that support even, in the middle of a snowball fight!
I also loved talking about building the community …the continuum. Having our kids involved in activities w/ their friends week to week. Feeling connected to people that “get-it” all together….Working towardsl the time when more useful books are published and the language has shifted. Public perceptions change and empowerment starts ruling our lives. Not sad victims desperately searching for cures. Cures that we don’t need. The need to live our lives in a fun and positive way. Is what we need. Working with what we do have to the best of our abilities. That’s LIFE in a nutshell!! Whether you’re on the spectrum or not!!
AutismHWY.com is happy to say …Let’s get on with it!! Sign-up, and EMPOWER yourselves. Make the connections you need to get things started for yourselves. There are alot of us out here ready for BIG CHANGES!! Changes for fun, finding strengths and talents. Honing those skills and gaining employment through those skills. We all must work together by pooling our resources! Bridging those gaps we have all been slipping through!!
So THANKYOU ANCA once again for what you are doing for the Autistic community. Highliting and employing autistic people is a beautiful thing. The more the world opens itself to accepting and working with neuro-diversity the richer and fuller it will become !
