That is an amazing mathematical equation! On Friday July 9th. That equation WILL BE implemented …IN A HURRY! KaBOOM!! The Awesome Playground ‘Genies ‘ in partnership with The Dr.Pepper Snapple Group, The Mott’s Co and Stater Bros.will be visiting Wyatt’s School! Leroy Haynes Center in La Verne Calif. The cool plan is to start”THE BUILD” at 8:00 a.m. and with Many hands making light work …the PLAYGROUND will be done by 2:30 p.m.!! Seems impossible. Yet, that is the human spirit for you. When it is headed toward positivity …things just seem to go faster! Onward and upward!!
Everyone at Leroy Haynes school for AUTISM is so proud and happy to have this occurring. THIS WISH is granted to a very lucky select few …and WE ARE 1 in 10!! So exciting to see our ~1 in a MILLION kids~ dreams coming true! Their dream playground in 1 day! The design was such a collaborative process! KaBOOM provides a nice size page for each student to draw and design their ideal playground! HOW FUN!!! I saw water slides, fountains and ZIP LINES!!! Wow these kids dream BIG! I love it.
errected Volunteers are still needed. On Wed July 7th there will be a Build Captain meeting. If you have construction skills OR great interest in HELPING come on down and put those skills to GREAT USE!! There will be prep work on the 7th and a 45 minute “Build Captain” orientation. Then on Friday WE WILL BUILD! There will be music, prizes & lunch provided by Stater Bros. plus a priceless sense of GREAT accomplishment. Knowing that you… are doing something for a group of kids that SO DESERVE extra special attention. Our ASD Individuals truly appreciate things like this. True some may not be able to express that to you but, know that little things are BIG…so in turn something BIG like this is HUGE!!
Thank you so much to KaBOOM…Dr Pepper, Snapple , Motts, Stater Bros. and ALL that have made ,and will make this a reality! The 5 1/2 hours schedueled to make this PLAYGROUND happen. Will in turn produce INFINITE love and happiness. What could you possibly have to do on a Saturday afternoon that could be better than ALL THAT?
